Mission
Our mission is to provide support and advocacy for abused, neglected, and abandoned children in the foster care system to ensure they have the resources and enrichment opportunities they need to feel safe, loved, and cared for.
Vision
We envision a world where every foster child has hope for a brighter future. Together, we strive to fulfill each child's needs through our programs, providing essential items, experiences, and services they might not otherwise receive. We believe every child deserves the chance to feel like a kid.
About Voices for Children
In 1986, a compassionate group of women embarked on a mission to support children in the Hillsborough County Guardian ad Litem Program, thus founding the Child Advocacy Guild, Inc. Recognizing the lack of funds necessary to meet the comprehensive needs of these children navigating the dependency court system, they initiated efforts to gather toys and essential items.
Through tireless fundraising endeavors and community outreach, they sought to bridge the gap in resources. This initiative later evolved into Voices for Children (VFC), dedicated to providing foster children with indispensable support, necessary provisions, and transformative experiences crucial for their well-being and happiness.
Since its inception, VFC has empowered thousands of vulnerable children thrust into the system's complexities, furnishing them with vital resources that instill a sense of purpose and hope amid adversity. Central to VFC’s mission are its essential programs, including the Children’s Needs Fund and Courthouse Facility Dog Program, which serve as cornerstones in delivering a spectrum of indispensable services to children unavailable elsewhere.
